If you are creating a development or evaluation environment, you can use 16 gigabytes (GB) of RAM for a single-server installation, including Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint Server. However, 24 GB of RAM is recommended for a single-server installation of SharePoint 2019. Adding more memory than the minimum requirement will also result in better performance.

Software requirements

SharePoint Server 2019 supports drives that are formatted with the Resilient File System (ReFS). Web servers and application servers in a SharePoint 2016 farm have the following minimum software requirements.
